July 12, 2002, 10:26 PM – Changed Photo Essay and College Life full-size photos to load from Chris-Place.net.

July 5, 2002, 12:46 PM – "Tagged" all College Life and Photo Essay full-size photos with site logo and URL as part of preparations for StratoSearch Photography.

June 29, 2002, 3:47 PM – StratoSearch had a minor overhaul done to it today. This entailed individual headings for each section of StratoSearch, plus a navbar underneath these headers, in order to improve navigation around the site. Additionally, StratoSearch shopping is now online. Currently, this is The Schumin Web's Online Store in disguise, but look for so much more on StratoSearch's store in the coming weeks and months!

June 29, 2002, 1:12 AM – Added two more College Life features (yes, College Life). One is about when my friend Sarah and I were messing around with the Mavica at JMU one day during May session, and another involves a class trip to the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia.

June 28, 2002, 10:08 PM – Added new StratoSearch products to The Schumin Web's Online Store, and also made some database changes to the store.

June 28, 2002, 8:23 PM – Fixed buggy StratoSearch site submissions form. It should work now like it's supposed to.

June 24, 2002, 8:21 AM – StratoSearch is up in a new format! Check it out at http://www.stratosearch.com/

June 22, 2002, 3:36 AM – Finished converting StratoSearch to a database system. The pages aren't all updated to reflect this yet (check the time on this message to see why). Look for a redesigned StratoSearch coming soon to incorporate all kinds of new stuff!

June 18, 2002, 6:55 PM – Made some minor fixes on The Schumin Web Community discussion forums. Most notable fix is in regards to Email confirmation for new registrants. First off, the Emails now are actually getting sent out. Secondly, the address appearing with registrations is community@schuminweb.com. This address is set to redirect anything sent to it to me.

June 10, 2002, 6:00 AM – Web Cam Archives for May are now complete. Also, Web Cam should have more uptime than it has been since I got a few of the kinks worked out of it.

June 8, 2002, 12:40 AM – Guest book on The Schumin Web changed to where entries must now be approved before they show up on the public site.

June 4, 2002, 4:27 PM – Yanked ValueSponsor ads from site (see the newsletter for information on THAT), and so to replace the ValueSponsor ads, I've put up my own banner stating that I'm currently looking for a new ad provider. Email me if you know of any good ones.

May 30, 2002, 2:18 AM – Updated info in Fire Alarm Collection about the Cerberus Pyrotronics MTL-S15-S. This signal was discovered to be multitone rather than just Code-3, and the information now reflects that the signal is multitone, and under investigation.

May 27, 2002, 11:47 PM – Added "Road Warrior" line to the Online Store.

May 26, 2002, 8:20 PM – Fixed some various bugs in the Online Store.

May 25, 2002, 1:34 AM – Added Photo 2 design to Online Store, and also changed some of Photo 1's designs as part of the changes associated with this new line.

May 24, 2002, 6:36 PM – Made a minor overhaul to the Online Store! Introduced "image flipping", where you click and see the back of the shirt, and also now you can see bigger images of the products, along with new pictures of people actually wearing my products. This update incorporates the suggestions of several people, and I hope it's what they were imagining when they suggested it.

May 21, 2002, 1:44 AM – Removed basketball hoops from the Online Store, as CafePress has officially discontinued the item. Additionally, watch for some much-needed zoom images and product-flipping features in the store coming soon.

May 19, 2002, 12:52 AM – Completed the retrofit to College Life. Now, except for Freshman Year and photo sets taken by the Web Cam, all features now have clickable full-size images.

May 17, 2002, 5:08 PM – Added new fire alarm sounds... the Wheelock MT4-115-WH, and the Edwards 874-N5.

May 17, 2002, 12:12 PM – Completed a major overhaul to the Fire Alarm Collection in Main Event. This section was completely re-configured using ASP and is more business, and less blab. Also puts most of the pictures behind a single opening picture to decrease load.

May 12, 2002, 11:46 PM – Closed all OneCenter forums and replaced it with custom forum program called The Schumin Web Community, designed for the entire site plus subsidiaries. Thanks to Chris-Place.com for hosting it. Also, the Web Cam Archives are now completely ASP, and note the changed addresses on those pages. Additionally, added more College Life pictures.

May 10, 2002, 12:40 PM – Thought of idea for new quote. (Okay, I will admit - like Tim Allen after a trip to Sears, this was just an excuse to use my new form again!)

May 10, 2002, 7:09 AM – Oh, yeah... one thing I forgot to add before... I'm using a Web-based form for updating the site now, and so update dates and times will now reflect when I add the update to this page, and not the date the update was made.

May 5, 2002, 7:05 AM – Redesigned Schumin Web Multimedia Central to point to new home at Chris-Place.net, updated the layout, and changed the information source from "by hand" HTML to a database.

April 21, 2002, 12:00 AM – BIG update today! A new online store has come to The Schumin Web, and I've also completed the Photo Essay Blitz in its entirety.

April 9, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added the following photo essays from Photo Essay Blitz: Aboard the USS Wisconsin, Mastering the Seven Seas, Mermaids Everywhere, and World Trade Center Norfolk. Additionally, I have opened discussion forums for The Schumin Web and The Classic Liners of Long Ago. The forums are provided thanks to OneCenter.

March 30, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added Richmond's photos from the Photo Essay Blitz - Richmond's Canal Walk, and Science Museum of Virginia.

March 27, 2002, 12:00 AM – The Today's Special discussion forum is now open! Check out Today's Special under "Major Areas" and head on over! Additionally, I am changing the "Contacting Me" pages slightly. Instead of all the subsidiaries going to the one "Contacting Me" page on The Schumin Web, each subsidiary will now have a contact page with its own colors and brand, though the content of the page is standardized.

March 24, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added Charlottesville Photo Essay Blitz sets to Photo Essays, and removed "Six Years" banner.

March 18, 2002, 12:00 AM – Three Photo Essay Blitz photo essays are now online - "All The News That's Fit to Print", "Freedom is Not Free", and "A Snapshot of Metropolitan Advertising".

March 15, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added January and February Web Cam Archives, added Eva's picture to General Stuff for Junior Year, and retrofitted The Schumin Web Salutes America for full-size photos in its entirety.

March 14, 2002, 12:00 AM – Retrofitted both Thanksgiving (2000 and 2001) Photo Essays in their entirety for the full-size images. Also made general corrections where errors were discovered.

March 12, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added Photo Essay Blitz picture to replace file photo of Pentagon City Mall in "The Schumin Web Salutes America II" Photo Essay.

March 10, 2002, 12:00 AM – Updated some links on the Today's Special related links page.

February 23, 2002, 12:00 AM – Began making changes to the Photo Essays in preparation for my Spring Break Photo Essay Blitz. What I'm doing is I'm putting full-size (640x480 or so) photos behind the regular photos (clickable), and so far, the Christmas 2000, D-Hall Before Renovations, Renovations in the Ladies' Room, Sounding the Fire Alarm Collection, Great American Road Revisited, and Wal-Mart photo essays have been converted to this new style. The rest will come in time. Also refoldered The Schumin Web Salutes America (both the original and the second) in preparation for the changeover, but those two photo essays are NOT clickable (yet).

February 19, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added more fire alarms to the fire alarm collection pages, and added an archive.org feature to the Archives.

February 17, 2002, 12:00 AM – At this point, converted StratoSearch to the database system through letter "L", and added some "General Stuff" pictures to College Life Junior Year.

February 10, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added "Bowling with PCM" page to College Life.  Also started converting StratoSearch pages to the database.  "A" and "B" in StratoSearch are now properly converted to database format.  New features in the listings include the language that the site is in, as well as the URL displayed on-screen as well as linked.

January 31, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added three new photos to Photo Essay Outtakes page, and also uploaded a bunch of pictures that were accidentally missed in the move to Entangled Web. If you see anything else that's broken, be it an image or an internal link, let me know.

January 24, 2002, 12:00 AM – Changed around the slogans on the back of the fire alarm line. Added two more slogans, moved a few to different products, and put the "steering wheel locked" quote on the tote bags, which were redesigned to match the shirts.

January 22, 2002, 12:00 AM – Made some changes to the quote database, and added back the notes from the old pre-database quote archive.

January 19, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added Valentine's Day items to Online Store. Also added "Sledding at ISAT" page to College Life.

January 15, 2002, 12:00 AM – Added StratoSearch store items to The Schumin Web Online Store.

January 13, 2002, 12:00 AM – Officially changed World Wide Web Site Index to the StratoSearch brand name, and opened StratoSearch store. No word yet when the full search system will be coming online.

January 12, 2002, 12:00 AM – Fixed old Multimedia Central references from NBCi to the current location.

January 6, 2002, 12:00 AM – Changed circle-photo back from Christmas image, added first-quarter 2002 quote archives, added December 2001 Web archives, made a slight modification to the Web Cam page, and finally updated the quizlet.

December 14, 2001, 12:00 AM – Added the tune to "The Ants Go Marching One By One" to Multimedia Central for a fan fiction piece in the archives. Additionally, I added a new piece of fan art.
