“They say time waits for no man…”

Clock at Pentagon RowThey say that time waits for no man, and you know what? They’re right. Time waits for no man or woman in this world, and so as much as we’d like to slow things down sometimes, we can’t. And so reality rears its ugly head again. We have to learn how to make do with the 24 hours a day that we have, and use them as best we can. This is where the hard decisions come in. Sure, we’d all like to sleep until we’re fully rested, but sometimes that’s just not possible. In fact, sleep usually is the thing that is most often sacrificed, it seems. Thus controlling time is not a matter of making the minutes and hours longer. No. Controlling time is mastering its management. And becoming a master of management of time is just fun, to say the least. Scheduling and planning and making tough choices… all part of the process. Do I consider myself a master of the time management process? Not a chance… but it’s a nice ideal to work towards, though, being able to do everything you need to do in a day plus have enough time for everything you want to do…
