“The idea here is to learn from the mistakes we made in dreamland…”

"Alomnd Street" shirtWe as human beings like to think we’re perfect. We like to think we’re invincible. Well, how can I say this… no. We are imperfect creatures, subject to whatever gets belted at us by whoever or whatever. However, we can learn and be better people from these experiences. Even better is to learn from someone else’s experiences, or even better than that, to learn from an experience you thought you had, but really were simply snoozing away. So I present to you wacky Schumin dream #9,762. The t-shirt disaster. I was visiting a friend of mine, and she happened to be wearing a white t-shirt, containing a logo that was very familiar to me – the Almond Street logo. So I said hello, and a conversation came about. Then I noticed it. Just like in the picture at right (not a real shirt), the “Almond” in Almond Street had a typo in it. It’s not “Almond Street”, but rather “Alomnd Street”. Even though this was only a dream, I was in a state of disbelief. The thoughts that were running through my head were how could I have made such a stupid mistake in the first place, how I could have missed it for so long, and the fact that my missing it caused a shirt to go out that had my company logo misspelled on the front. I was completely mortified. I vowed to make the proper corrections and fix the affected products as soon as I got back to my computer, as well as look over the rest of Almond Street just to make sure that there were no other careless errors that got in there inadvertently. So then I woke up. I realized I needed to check Almond Street’s logo merchandise to fix the typo. Then it hit me. Almond Street has no logo merchandise, and on top of that, there are currently no plans to offer any. Nonetheless, though, I checked through the entire site one more time for careless errors. None were found, meaning that any that were made had already been fixed during the pre-launch inspections. Still, I’ve learned to keep an eye out for typos, and keep it sharp and focused, because sometimes even the most obvious of mistakes can get overlooked sometimes…
