So I was shipping a computer monitor today, and after locating a box and breaking out the bubble wrap, I decided to show the intended recipient (a coworker in another office) that I was getting it ready, since I needed to locate a box before I could ship it. And so here’s the proof:
Note the large size of the roll of bubble wrap. So let’s get busy! I would say I wrapped the crap out of it, but that thing’s not getting damaged during shipping if I have anything to say about it. I also taped it all up really well.
And thus we have the result of my labor:
As you can see, one finished package, and a much smaller roll of bubble wrap. I feel satisfied.
And by the way, as far as packing goes, let me go on record in saying that I hate packing peanuts. Those things are so light and staticky that there is no neat way of getting things out of a box filled with packing peanuts, no matter how hard I try. Seriously, I always end up spilling a bunch of them, which I then have to clean up. Considering that most of the stuff that goes in with packing peanuts is usually already wrapped otherwise, people need to use those air packs more often. Those things are much easier to deal with when it’s package opening time. No mess, and they’re easily reused.
