Say it isn’t so! But look:
Strong Bad Email #118 seems to have done Strong Bad’s computer, Compy 386, in. He ended up having a large amount of viruses (over 400,000) on his computer, causing the whole Homestarrunner.com world to go crazy. Bubs, of Bubs’ Concession Stand, ended up having to shoot Compy 386 to bring things back to normal, leaving Strong Bad very distraught. Seriously. Strong Bad was NOT in his happy place.
Also, this is one reason why I shouldn’t be looking for new Strong Bad Emails right before going to work. I watched this latest one, “virus”, and then was thinking about the death of Compy 386 all day at work, trying to make some sense of it.
Now I’ve seen it again, and I’m still trying to grasp it. I just wonder what Strong Bad’s next computer is going to be. I also wonder if he’s going to use The Cheat’s computer, Tangerine Dreams (based on a Mac), for an Email or two again. I remember when Tandy 400 (Strong Bad’s original computer) blew up. He used The Cheat’s computer for one Email before getting his Tandy working again (“Ah, the old girl’s working again.”) for a few Emails before getting Compy 386.
Now I’m going to be in agony for a week until the next Strong Bad Email comes out, so we can see what ends up happening to Compy 386 and what about a new computer…
