Photo Outtakes 2Since November 11, 2002, I've had a Sony Mavica CD400, known around here as "Big Mavica". Unlike the previous Mavica, this one shoots VERY big pictures. This has greatly enhanced the photography sets, with much higher quality pictures. And it also inspired me to produce new photography sets again, now that I had a better camera. And more photography means more outtakes... BIG outtakes. Take a look... From the Iwo Jima Memorial and Botanical Gardens day...

"Hello Kitty! I'm buying these for a friend. I hope she likes them!" From the White House and Union Station day...One thing that I wanted to do on this particular day of 710 total pictures (I know, that's a lot) was to showcase Pentagon Row, an interesting community behind Pentagon City Mall. However, I didn't get enough good pictures to make a feature out of it. However, from the encounter with Pentagon Row, I did get a few interesting shots...
This one I just love all by itself. The lights, the snow, the way the girl is standing... it all just seems to "work", don't you think? Enlarge (by clicking through) and see.
Another Zamboni! Well, actually, this is a Brand X Zamboni. There was an ice rink set up at Pentagon Row, and they took a few minutes to resurface the ice.
And afterwards, an employee gives the ice a test skate to make sure it's all clear, before letting the masses return to the ice. In July 2003, the Life and Times section was created, providing a more appropriate location for outtakes. Additionally, a lot of random photos taken on photo shoots now end up in my Journal.
