Photo Outtakes 1

Ever wondered about the stuff in a photography set that you don't see?  The stuff that's kind of silly, perhaps, or doesn't fit the theme I'm going for?  Or perhaps it was an awesome picture but for space reasons, didn't get used?  Here's where you can find some of my favorite outtakes from photography sets taken with my old Mavica (Sony Mavica FD73), from Wal-Mart (now in Life and Times) all the way through Protesting the World Bank.

From Wal-Mart...

"CAFFEINE!"

From Virginia Beach...

One will notice that when I or someone I'm with gets bored, for some reason we end up with a lot of feet shots.  Above, you can see Andrea's feet, and below, my feet.

From Thanksgiving 2000...

Look who I caught off-guard...

From Thanksgiving 2000...

Even in Chinatown in Washington DC, Starbucks can't wait to get its foot in the door...

From Christmas 2000...

"And a big 'thwbbbbt' to you, too."

From Christmas 2000...

"Good morning, sunshine!"

From Potomac Door Decor...

Free condoms?  She wasn't kidding!  Here they are, right on the door!

From Zane Showker Hall - The Ghost Town...

I actually got these two girls to pretend to throw snowballs for the camera.

From the old D-Hall...

A look in the window reveals some of the kitchen...

From Sounding the Fire Alarm Collection...

"I thought that power supply didn't work!"

The flash coming from the strobe in this photo is actually not the fire alarm's strobe, but rather a reflection of my camera's flash.

From The Schumin Web Salutes America...

An overview shot of the "Publishers' Clearing House" scene...

From The Schumin Web Salutes America...

In the Smithsonian's Information Age exhibit, they inadvertently put another artifact from the information age in, as they had a Wheelock 7002T in service over an area that corresponded to its right time period.

From the Carnival photo set...

"Gee, someone seems awfully happy today..."

From D-Hall - The Fresh Food Company...

This JMU student agrees with someone, but it sure ain't Russ!

From D-Hall - The Fresh Food Company...

Jessica Tusing from LPCM at JMU strikes a pose at D-Hall...

From D-Hall - The Fresh Food Company...

Again, when I'm bored, this time while waiting for the bus, feet are a popular photography subject.

From The Schumin Web Salutes America II...

"Quiet!"

From The Schumin Web Salutes America II...

What's this little man doing in the fire box?

From The Schumin Web Salutes America II...

Feet... this time waiting for the train at Rosslyn.

From The Schumin Web Salutes America II...

While still waiting for the train, I mess with the auto-focus on the Mavica, and accidentally shot this still of my fingers...

From The Schumin Web Salutes America II...

An interesting sight to wake up to, indeed...

From Thanksgiving 2001...

"NOOD E SOUP"?  Say what now?

(This feature has since been changed to Life and Times)

From Thanksgiving 2001...

While walking through Chinatown, this was fairly odd... seems that the Fire-Lite BG-10 comes to us here pre-pulled!

From Thanksgiving 2001...

Well, there you go... just when you thought you'd seen everything on a license plate, here you go - this guy's a used car dealer from Arkansas.
