"An Urban Comparison" was an ongoing project throughout the entire Photo Essay Blitz week. In all of my cities except Charlottesville, I spent time in the cities' business districts. I snapped pictures like you would not believe, and managed to get a good, coherent picture of the downtown business districts of Richmond, Norfolk, and Roanoke in Virginia, plus the Washington DC area. It really was interesting to compare and contrast the different areas. In the Washington DC area, I actually did a bit of hopping around, as I captured Northwest DC, Alexandria, as well as four of Arlington's six business districts as I captured Rosslyn, Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Ballston.
